Perseis Meteor shower tonight



Perseid Meteor was said to be showered this evening. However, cloudy skies may hide it outlook for myriad Filipino sky observers as Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) proclaimed.

This popular Perseid meteor will be detected at its crest on the midnight of August 12 awaiting on its sunup of the following day with myriad of meteors per hour viewed under most good sky condition as the PAGASA stated in its bulletin exorbitant memoir.

Nevertheless, PAGASA weather analyst Joel Jesusa stated that typically gloomy skies will reign over entire parts of the country at the moment owing to the low pressure area off the Visayas region.
     
Phenomenally, this incomparable shower may illustrate tens or hundreds of meteors per minute, thus 50 meteors per hour are more distinctive.

The Perseid meteor shower emits out from the assemblage Perseus, which is situated in the eastern sphere during August.

The renowned Perseid meteor shower has been detected for about 2,000 years. The idiom Perseid refers to the star constellation of Perseus.
